The Cultural Medallion and Young Artist Award (CMYAA) are pinnacle awards that recognise exemplary Singaporean artists for their distinctive bodies of work, artistic excellence and their contributions to the development of our nation’s diverse arts and cultural landscape. The awards also encourage and empower recipients to pursue their passions and create world-class works that raise the international profile of Singapore’s arts scene.

- [New] To substantiate the impact made by your nominee, nominators are strongly encouraged to submit at least one Letter of Support written by a member of the arts community in Singapore.
[For Nominees] Once a nomination is submitted, nominees will be notified via email with a unique link to provide their Nomination Package and accept the nomination. Refer to the Nomination Guidelines for details on preparing the Nomination Package.
IMPORTANT: As the complete Nomination Package needs to be received by NAC by Monday, 23 March 2026, 5pm (Singapore Time), nominators should allow nominees sufficient time to complete this step. We seek your understanding that no extension will be given.
Cultural Medallion
The Cultural Medallion is Singapore’s highest arts accolade, honouring individuals whose artistic excellence, contribution and commitment have enriched and distinguished Singapore’s arts and culture scene.
To date, the Cultural Medallion has been conferred on a total of 139 artists in the fields of film, literary arts, performing arts and visual arts.
Each Cultural Medallion recipient will have access to funds of up to $80,000 to support their continuous artistic pursuit and help them make a positive impact on Singapore’s arts and culture development by engaging the wider community through their projects.
Young Artist Award
The Young Artist Award is Singapore’s highest award for young arts practitioners, aged 35 and below, whose artistic achievements and commitment have distinguished them from their peers. It encourages young practitioners to continue pursuing excellence in the arts and to inspire others.
To date, the Young Artist Award has been conferred on a total of 187 artists in the fields of film, literary arts, performing arts and visual arts.
Each Young Artist Award recipient will be eligible for a grant of up to $20,000 that supports their future artistic pursuits and development. The grant can be used for arts projects or studies that have a positive impact on the recipient’s artistic development, or to the local arts scene.
