Singapore, 15 July 2026 – 12 distinguished arts and culture leaders have been appointed to the President's Challenge Multiculturalism Panel (PCMP), underscoring Singapore's continued commitment to nurturing a shared Singaporean identity enriched by our multicultural traditions through the arts. Appointed by the President’s Challenge, the Panel comprises representatives from across the arts sector, from Cultural Medallion and Young Artist Award recipients to leading arts practitioners and educators, ensuring the arts industry and community play a meaningful role in championing and shaping multicultural arts developments in Singapore. The Panel will play a key role in identifying areas for learning and growth in the multicultural arts scene, and in reviewing and endorsing programmes that support arts practitioners and organisations across diverse disciplines to deepen their craft and expand their practice across cultural boundaries.

NAC, UOL and PPHG forge three-year partnership to expand arts experiences in their commercial and hospitality spaces
20 May 2026 – The National Arts Council (NAC) yesterday signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with UOL Group Limited (UOL), and its subsidiary Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG), collectively referred as the Group, to integrate the arts more deeply into Singapore’s commercial and hospitality spaces.

World's Performing Arts leaders convene in Singapore for International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) 2026 Singapore Congress
19 May 2026 – Over 400 performing arts leaders from more than 40 countries gathered in Singapore today for the International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) 2026 Singapore Congress, to exchange ideas and forge new creative collaborations over the next four days. This marks the Congress’ first return to Southeast Asia in over two decades, reinforcing the city-state's role as an international convergence point in the region. President Tharman Shanmugaratnam was the Guest-of-Honour at the opening of the Congress with Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth & Senior Minister of State for Education, Mr David Neo as Special Guest.

NAC and Changi Airport Group enter partnership to expand reach of Singapore arts to air travellers
27 April 2026 - The National Arts Council (NAC) and Changi Airport Group (CAG) announced a three-year partnership today, to explore ways to present Singapore’s artistic excellence to the world through Changi Airport which handles about 70 million passengers annually . This collaboration aims to create new opportunities for both local and international passengers to experience Singapore’s arts and culture, through a series of curated art displays, live performances and activations within the airport’s terminals.
