NAC’s response on Pangdemonium’s decision to close by end 2026

02 Feb 2026

Statement by Mr Low Eng Teong, CEO, National Arts Council (NAC):

We met and held open discussions with Pangdemonium to explore its continuation. Ultimately, we respect the decision by Adrian and Tracie Pang to cease operations of Pangdemonium at the end of 2026 for personal reasons.

The National Arts Council has proudly supported Pangdemonium since 2017 as it grew into a financially sound and critically acclaimed theatre company in Singapore. Our support of Pangdemonium remains steadfast, and our collective focus now is on a smooth transition. We will actively match affected staff with new career opportunities to keep their expertise within the sector. We remain committed to fostering the vibrant theatre ecosystem that Pangdemonium helped build.

While Pangdemonium concludes this chapter at the height of its success, its legacy of excellence endures. We invite everyone to celebrate the company’s final season and thank Adrian and Tracie for their immense contribution to our cultural landscape.
