Ongoing research studies
The National Art Council’s ongoing research studies include the Population Survey on the Arts and the Arts and Culture Employment Study (ACES). Together with the Singapore Cultural Statistics, these give us a clearer picture of the sector and the impact of the arts on Singaporeans. We also draw on the Culture Academy's resource library (opens in new tab) for broader sector insights.
Research is at the heart of how NAC shapes its policies and programmes. We ground our work in robust empirical evidence. This ensures our strategies reflect the realities of Singapore's arts and culture landscape, from industry trends to the lived experiences of audiences and artists alike.
