Presenting Groundworks by Common Protocol

Groundworks is an artist development programme designed for early- to mid-career Singapore-based artists engaging with digital tools. Selected via public open call, the programme brought together five artists—Jo Ho, Tristan Lim, Roger Ng Wei Lun, rushamc, and Meg Severino—facilitating mentorship and studio visits to strengthen each artist's ability to develop ambitious digital works and articulate their practices. 

Presenting Groundworks was the culmination of this process, gathering new works that address central preoccupations for each artist — as first articulations of a new direction, or extensions of ongoing lines of inquiry.

The programme was curated by Clara Che Wei Peh, produced by Deanna Dzulkifli and Mary Ann Ng, organised by Common Protocol, supported by the National Arts Council's Arts x Tech Lab initiative.
