    NAC Workplan

NAC held its inaugural work plan sharing session on 4 July 2011. We brought together our arts and community partners, the media and government agencies to share NAC’s strategic directions and key plans over the next few years, focusing on our activities in 2011.

The session was well attended by over 160 participants. We are pleased to provide the notes and information for the session as well as the key feedback and challenges raised by our arts and community partners. Download the file(s) below.

This sharing will be an annual event. We hope to continue the dialogue with our arts and community stakeholders on how NAC can better partner with them to transform the lives of our people through the arts.

    NAC Logo

The NAC logo is a symbolic expression of its mission to nurture the arts and make it an integral part of the lives of the people of Singapore. It also articulates visually its vision to develop Singapore as a distinctive global city for the arts.

Ascending together towards a common mission, five evenly spaced bold red lines of equal thickness signify the five art forms supported by NAC - theatre, dance, music, visual arts and literature. A three-dimensional effect created by smoothly transitioning these lines over an unseen letter 'A' conveys the vigour, creativity and progressiveness of the Council.

The use of red reflects the vibrant and dynamic approach NAC uses to achieve its mission and vision.

Distinguishing the efforts of the Council, while highlighting the increasingly international nature of our work, the text NATIONAL ARTS COUNCIL is grounded by the word SINGAPORE.
