Befriender's Arts Toolkit (2018)

The Befriender’s Arts Toolkit is a resource that provides befriender volunteers with simple art-based activity ideas that can be used as part of their befriending journey. These activities do not require volunteers to have prior training or background in the arts, and are intended to

  1. Leverage volunteers to bring arts experiences to the under-reached
  2. Use the arts experience to stimulate conversations and social interaction, enriching the befriending process

These activity ideas are publicly available for volunteers to download from the Arts for All website. Developed by artists/arts practitioners, the Toolkit provides comprehensive step-by-step instructions, conversation tips and a list of materials required to get started.

Choose from three available activities and get started today!

  • Let’s Masak Masak
  • Shape and Colour Your Dreams
  • Places and Voices of Our Neighbourhood

NAC hopes to work with Social Service Agencies and community volunteers to bring the arts to the under-reached communities. For more information, email us at nac_artsforall@nac.gov.sg.
