NAC released our five-year Research Plan as part of Our SG Arts Plan 2018 – 2022 in October 2018. You can find the full document here.
NAC will continue to support research that can help us better articulate the value of the arts, as well as understand and grow audiences. We also believe that research and documentation are also critical to provide vital resources and materials for artists to build on, deepen their practice, and create diverse and distinctive works that speak to Singaporeans, and can also position Singapore arts and artists globally.
Research is an important process through which we understand the issues and practices of the arts and culture sector. In recognition of the importance of research and to build up research capabilities in the arts, it is important to NAC that we share research findings with the wider audience of researchers, the arts community or even the general public.
