Preservation of arts and cultural legacy is important in enabling the general public to gain deeper understanding of traditional art forms with long history in Singapore.
This initiative aims to sustain the development and ensure continuity of traditional art forms of Singapore, as well as to create awareness and encourage research.
With the Traditional Arts Repository, important source materials can be compiled more easily and disseminated for public’s consumption.
What the TA Repository supports
Digitisation of print materials or media that are of historical significance and value, such as print photographs, scripts, scores, analogue audio and video recordings.
What the funding covers
The one-time funding supports up to 100% of qualifying costs. The grant quantum for any organisation is capped at $20,000 per organisation.
The initiative is open to
- Only Traditional Arts organisations may apply.
- Organisations that are either registered with Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority or a society registered with the Registry of Societies at the time of application.
- Applicants must be registered for at least 10 years from the date of application and must have a sustained level of activities to date.
