The arts have the power to enrich lives and bring people together. The Arts Fund will continue to support artists and arts companies that produce good quality performances and exhibitions for the enjoyment and edification of Singaporeans. Groups are being encouraged to engage their local communities more, giving them ample opportunities around the year, to sample, savour and deepen their appreciation of different art forms. Hence, projects that demonstrate concerted efforts towards this end may be considered for higher level of funding. Through this, Arts Fund hopes that more Singaporeans will enjoy the arts.
S$1.5m will be made available this financial year (FY2020) by the Tote Board through the Arts Fund for the arts community.
Applications are assessed by an independent Arts Fund Committee comprising art specialists and experienced arts administrators.
The members of the current Arts Fund Committee (FY2020 - FY2021) are:
Mr Lee Suan Hiang (Chairperson)
