Applications for the 2018 NAC Arts Scholarships are now open till Friday, 9 March 2018, 5pm.


To give your application the best chance of success, you should complete the application in full and prepare a portfolio that clearly reflects your strengths. Your application will be considered ineligible if:

  • the application is without complete supporting documents; or
  • the application is not submitted via the prescribed application procedure; or
  • the course of study falls out of the scope of the NAC Arts Scholarship


You are advised to read the NAC Arts Scholarship Application Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions before applying:




You must submit all of the following before Friday, 9 March 2018, 5pm:

(i)                  Online application;

(ii)                Printed copy of the online application form with your signature;

(iii)               All supporting documents (as detailed in Section 4 of the NAC Arts Scholarship Application Guidelines)





There is only one application window for the NAC Arts Scholarship every year. The 2018 NAC Arts Scholarship is open for application for those who plan to pursue courses that commence before March 2019.



What you should do


Complete the online application form at:



Print out the application document after you click ‘Submit’ and sign on the printed copy of the application form.


A reference number will be generated from your online application.



Prepare your supporting documents. Details on supporting documents can be found in Section 4: Supporting Documents.

Note: The online application, printed application form and supporting documents must be completed and received by the NAC before Friday, 9 March 2018, 5pm. Your application will be deemed ineligible if the application is without complete supporting documents or is not received by the NAC before the application deadline. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all components of the Scholarship application are received by the NAC before the application deadline.

What will happen

April to June 2018

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview, with a panel comprising industry experts, academics and arts leaders. The interview is typically held between April to June 2018. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified for an interview.


Arrangements may be made for the interview to be conducted via teleconferencing if you are overseas.


June to July 2018

Applicants who attended the interviews will be notified of the results.


Successful applicants will have to produce proof of admission from the institutution before the award of the Scholarship.



Note: The NAC reserves the right to not disclose the reasons for approving or rejecting any application, and to reject any incomplete application.
