Noise Music Mentorship
Noise Singapore’s mentorship programmes give young people the opportunity to be mentored by professionals, leading to the creation of new works and a final group showcase. One of the sought-after mentorship programmes is the flagship Noise Music Mentorship, which has nurtured a community of aspiring young musicians over the years.
If you're aged 35 years and below, interested or aspiring to pursue music, broaden your knowledge of Singapore’s diverse music cultures, make music with peers from varied music genres and keen to learn more from experienced musicians/producers and other experts from our Singapore’s arts industry, the Noise Music Mentorship (NMM) is the programme for you!
Into its 11th edition, the Noise Music Mentorship is part of Noise Singapore, an initiative by the National Arts Council to engage young persons like you in and through the arts. The programme affectionately known to many as NMM offers you the opportunity to network, be part of a community of interest, as you practise and develop confidence in your music making with the guidance of mentors from our music community. This year’s NMM is programmed by Ownself Records together with Noise Singapore. The Noise Music Mentorship 2018 is now open for applications.
Bringing together a community of young arts enthusiasts and industry experts, Noise Mayhem aims to broaden perspectives through workshops and talks on diverse topics relating to the arts and to young people. Organised throughout the year, Noise Mayhem sessions are open to the public and publicised on Noise Singapore’s Facebook and Instagram channels. Follow us to keep updated with our events.
The Noise Symposium aims to equip youth arts intermediaries and programmers with the relevant knowledge to enhance their practice and foster a community of practitioners who will contribute to the youth arts landscape. The inaugural Noise Symposium will be held on 24 March 2017. Find out about the programme and list of speakers here.
