Come celebrate the 5th birthday of the NAC-M1 World Rhythms Series!  Concert goers will be treated to three free exciting concerts offering percussion, jazz, new-age and neo-ethnic world-class music genres from Sweden, America, The Philippines and Singapore.

 

17 Aug 03 - Tribal Tide Percussion Band & New Asia Records (Singapore)

Inspired by the world’s great cultures, Tribal Tide Percussion Band brings you a pulsating music mix of Latin-American, Indian, Australian, Irish and African rhythms. Andrew Lum from New Asia Records will perform with several other fine Asian artists, a ‘live’ rendition of his New York-mixed debut album Matter of Time. Be entertained with an eclectic yet seamless mix of jazz, new-age and world music marked with electronic and ethnic flavours. 

 

21 Sep 03 - Hellborg/Fan Duo (Sweden/USA)

This session will feature a combination of powerful yet awe-inspiring performance by bass guitarist Jonas Hellborg from Sweden and cellist Felix Fan from the States.

 

19 Oct 03 - Grace Nono-Bob Aves Group (The Philippines)

Grace Nono, an award-winning diva with extraordinary vocals, will entertain with her favourite rendition of Filipino music flanked by jazz fusion-styled Bob Aves and band.
