Come 6 March, the second concert in the Arts For All Scheme – The Stage Is Yours! series casts the spotlight on the Kebun Baru Community Club Chinese Orchestra, electronic artiste Rajesh Hardwani, song-writer Lim Cher Lin, pianist Derek Yeo and dance enthusiasts Tango Singapore.

The evening’s eclectic music programme includes eight works presented by the Kebun Baru Community Club Chinese Orchestra, original compositions by Lim Cher Lin, cutting-edge electronic music by Rajesh Hardwani and Derek Yeo’s rendition of pop songs.  The only dance group for the concert, Tango Singapore, will add a touch of Argentina Tango, before the spotlight dims for the evening.

Initiated by the National Arts Council (NAC) in November 2003, the Arts For All Scheme aims to motivate and inspire the practise of the arts at the community level.  Under the scheme, the Council provides a stage, together with technical and administrative support, for budding artists to showcase their talents before an audience in their community.  The scheme builds on the Council’s Outreach programme, started in 1996 to bring free arts programmes to the community.

The Arts for All Scheme - The Stage Is Yours! is co-organised by NAC under its ArtReach Programme and Central Singapore CDC under its Arty in Central Singapore and Community Life Arts Programme, and supported by Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council.
