The Singapore Arts Festival will end with a big bang, quite literally.

Arka, a large-scale, open-air spectacle will enthrall audiences, young and old, when it closes the three-week long Festival over a three-day fiesta.

Staged by one of Europe’s most intriguing experimental theatre companies, Poland’s Teatr ósmego Dnia, Arka, (which is Polish for “ark”) is reminiscent of the Noah’s Ark and explores contemporary themes of homelessness, up-rooting, and the search for hope and dreams. Actors brandishing flaming torches will perform on a massive multi-level mobile stage with large red wavy wings constructed in the form of a large, winged ship.

The show will be a fitting for the closing celebrations of the Singapore Arts Festival, which has prided itself in bringing Singapore quality productions which not only satisfy the most avid arts enthusiasts, but also entertain a wide range of audiences.

Do not miss your last chance to catch the Festival. Bring your family and friends down to the open field beside LOT 1 Shoppers’ Mall to witness this breathtaking display of theatrics.
