Calling All Artists Out There! Send in Your Works & Be Part of the Biggest Celebration of Singapore Art!

Singapore artists are invited to participate in the new Singapore Art Show 2005!

Organised by the National Arts Council, the Singapore Art Show 2005 is a new dedicated national platform to showcase a wide range of distinctive and outstanding artworks by Singapore artists. Taking place over four weeks from 23 September to 23 October 2005, through a series of exhibitions and participatory activities, both Singaporeans and foreigners alike will have the opportunity to engage our local visual arts community in a celebration of Singapore Art.

The Singapore Art Show will feature a range of art from the traditional to contemporary, as well as works from Singapore’s pioneer artists to those being produced by local artists today.

Among the components of the Show is New Works by Singapore Artists, a platform for artists to exhibit distinctive, high quality artworks. All Singaporean and Singapore-based artists and art students are invited to send in images of their work to participate in this Open component. The deadline for submissions is extended to 22 August 2005, 12 noon. The submission criteria are in Annex.
