The Council provides financial support to meet the objectives of promoting and profiling Singapore's artists and their works overseas, to facilitate the engagement of Singapore's artists with the international arts community, and to help establish Singapore's image as a vibrant arts city internationally.
Four grant schemes are offered and are open to practitioners of the following arts forms: Dance, Music, Theatre, Multimedia Performance, Visual Art, Literary Art and Photography.
The projects must contribute to creating an impact on profiling Singapore's arts overseas. Priority will be accorded applicants touring to or working in major arts capitals and cities of Australia, Asia, Europe, and North and South America, such as London, Paris, New York, Shanghai, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Montreal, Dublin, Barcelona, Mexico City, among others.

This provides support for touring productions or exhibitions to international festivals, art galleries and other established venues. The grant covers travel and freight costs.
Closing date: Applications are to be sent in at least 3 months before the start of the event.
This provides support to facilitate the development of new co-productions and collaborative ventures with overseas artists resulting in performances overseas and in Singapore. The grant contributes towards travel, freight and production costs.
Closing date: Applications are to be sent in at least 3 months before the start of the event.
This provides support to facilitate visits by key international visitors (e.g. festival directors, programmers of arts centres, curators, writers of international arts journals) to attend significant productions, exhibitions or events with potential for touring. The grant contributes toward travel costs of visitor.
Closing date: Applications considered bi-annually with deadlines closing 2 Jan and 1 Jul of the year.
This provides support in developing marketing collateral for international promotion and contributes toward production costs of print, audio and video materials. The grant can also go towards providing support for participation in international arts markets, contributing toward registration fees and travel costs.

Individual artists who are Singapore citizens or permanent residents, and registered arts organisations, and arts groups affiliated with recognized institutions.
Assessment Criteria Assessment of applications will be based on the following criteria:
- Impact on raising profile of Singapore arts
- Track record of applicant (visitor in the case of the International Visiting Grant)
- Artistic quality of production, exhibition or project
- Audience reach and exposure
- Merit and standing of host event, venue or collaborating partner
- Other sources of funding
Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the application within a month of the closing dates. The Council reserves the rights not to disclose reasons for approving or disapproving an application.

- Grant recipients shall acknowledge the Council as advised in all its publicity material and news releases pertaining to the project in Singapore and overseas.
- Grant recipients shall ensure that the host organisation overseas acknowledge the Council accordingly in its publicity material.
- Samples of all publicity materials locally and overseas should be submitted to the Council as soon as they are released.
- Grant recipients shall undertake to conduct themselves respectfully in the host countries of their projects and shall not bring disrepute to themselves, the National Arts Council, and the Singapore Government.
- Grant recipients shall not change the contents, substance, or partners of the project without the written consent of the Council.
- The Council reserves the rights to review, withdraw or suspend the grant in full or in part if any of the above rules and conditions are not complied with.
- Grant recipients shall furnish the Council with a report on the outcome of the project, including the audience reach, press reviews, problems encountered, recommendations, etc within one month of the project's completion. Recipients should note that failure to submit a report may affect future applications.
