Arts Professional Development Grant

This grant supports the professional development of the arts sector by providing assistance to individual artists, arts management and production personnel to pursue short-term training for the upgrading of their professional skills; and arts organisations that engage arts professional or specialised trainers to assist in the professional development of arts practitioners.

Applications are open to:
  • Individual applicants who are Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents and recognised by their peers as professional practising artists;
  • Non-profit arts organizations registered in Singapore whose core business is related to the arts.

Note: Non-profit arts organisations must be legally constituted for at least one year prior to the application.

The sum total of Arts Professional Development grants awarded to any recipient will not exceed $25,000 (up to a maximum of 2 awarded applications) per financial year.

NAC Violin Loan Scheme
The National Arts Council launched the Violin Loan Scheme in January 2000. The Scheme aims to support Singapore’s violinists who have the potential and commitment to pursue an international solo music career with the use of a fine instrument, so as to contribute to the international advancement of Singapore violinists.

The Scheme owns a J.B. Guadagnini of Milan, c.1750, currently on loan to Ms Tang Tee Khoon.
