I am a foreign artist/musician. I am interested to
work for NAC or local arts groups. Who should I contact? |
| A. |
NAC is a government agency that spearheads the development
of arts in Singapore. The Council does not employ practising
artists per se. Local arts groups operate independently
from NAC. Based on your area of specialisation, NAC might
be able to provide some contacts relevant to your expertise.
However, employment and performance opportunities are
subject to the needs of the arts groups. A list of relevant
arts organisations can be provided upon request. |

/ artists for your reference. |

| Q5 |
I am a foreign artist interested to work in Singapore.
I understand I can apply for PR under the Foreign Artistic
Talent Scheme. Please advise. |
| A. |
The Foreign Artistic Talent
Scheme is set up to augment our talent pool and raise
the artistic standards of the Singapore cultural scene.
The Scheme assists foreign artistic talents to apply for
Singapore PR status if they wish to live in Singapore
or make Singapore one of their homes. Foreign talents
eligible for consideration should have received formal
training, and/or have relevant working experience, and
have already established a reputation in their own countries
and often in other countries as well.
Interested applicants should write in to
Ms Avin Lee, Assistant Director (Capability Development)
and submit together a detailed resume with supporting
materials (portfolio, press reviews, video/audio recordings
etc) to the NAC for assessment. A copy of the PR application
form will be sent to the applicant if he/she is found
suitable.
Upon receiving the completed form from the applicant,
NAC will recommend the applicant to the Singapore Immigration
for its decision. There are other schemes pertaining to
work employment in Singapore administered by the Singapore
Immigration & Registration and Singapore
Contact Offices. |
