From cultural exchanges to international festivals and exhibitions, Singapore artists and arts groups have been receiving invitations and actively taking Singapore arts to audiences all over the world through showcases of their artistic creations and presentations on these international platforms. Here are some of the upcoming activities and presentations by Singapore artists and arts groups abroad.

The Chinese Opera Institute (COI) has been invited by the Mayor of Solo, Indonesia to perform two operas at the Magkunegrana Palace, on 26 and 27 October 2008, as part of the core programme of the Cultural Festival during the World Heritage Cities Expo. This is a first-ever invitation to a Singaporean group to perform at the Magkunegrana Palace. The trip is supported by the National Arts Council and the Lee Foundation.
One of the operas, Dream of Han Dan is an adaptation of Ming Dynasty playwright Tang Xian Zu's famous work by COI Director Dr Chua Soo Pong, directed by Shui Xiao Yan. The second opera, Ramayana, is scripted and directed by Dr Chua. Since its premiere in 1988 at the Young People's Theatre Festival organised by the then-Ministry of Community Development, Ramayana has gone on to tour international theatre festivals in countries like Japan, Thailand, New Zealand, Germany, Monaco, India, Iran, and USA.
