PARTICIPANTS TO THE 2011 LA MAMA INTERNATIONAL RESIDENCIES

“The workshops were very useful in developing my craft as a writer and honing my instincts as an artist. In addition, having the time to focus on writing and creating is sometimes near impossible in daily ordinary living. The retreat is a treat for the artists’ starved soul.”
- Zizi Azah Binte Abdul Majid, participant of the 2011 La MaMa Playwrights Retreat

“The La MaMa Director’s Symposium is well-organised and relevant to theatre makers… The depth, range and diversity of the international artists, as well as the proximity of other international participants, allowed close contact and fervent exchange of work and artistic ideas.”
- Gerald Chew, participant of the 2011 La MaMa Director’s Symposium
