AN INTERNATIONAL ARTS RESIDENCY INITIATIVE
The National Arts Council is pleased to partner with Ecole Philippe Gaulier to offer a 9-month residency award to an outstanding theatre practitioner for the 2012 intake (15th October 2012 – 21st June 2013) at ECOLE PHILIPPE GAULIER in Paris, France. Deadline for application: 30 April 2012.

ABOUT ECOLE PHILIPPE GAULIER
Founded in 1980, Ecole Philippe Gaulier is a theatre school where the focus is placed on enjoying oneself during the creation of live theatre. The school's founder, Philippe Gaulier is a world renowned teacher/writer and director with a distinctive approach to the performing arts. His unique teaching method allows his students to discover their own original performance style through various character development workshops. Ecole Philippe Gaulier's former students include the theatre director Simon McBurney, whose company Theatre de Complicite has been influenced by Gaulier's work, and actors like Emma Thompson, Marcello Magni, Kathryn Hunter and Sasha Baron Cohen.
