Home of the Singapore Repertory Theatre 19 & 20 Merbau Road These two connected units of 2-storey pre-war warehouse space at the Robertson Quay area, was allocated to the Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT). 72-13 Mohamed Sultan Road
72-13 is the new home of TheatreWorks. This was previously an old building owned by the Bank of China in the Robertson Quay area, identified for development into a space for performing arts . A converted rice warehouse, the new space which has been completed in September 2005 is flexible enough to be a gallery, a cinema and a theatre. Developed at a cost of S$2.8 million, its primary purpose is to encourage collaborations, house residencies from artists around the world and to encourage hybrid creative expressions from young Singaporeans.
