Sing Singapore Sing Singapore aims to discover and promote original songs written by Singaporeans for Singaporeans, while developing a love for music and singing. It also aims to cultivate a greater sense of togetherness among Singaporeans.
Over the years, the Festival saw the emergence of a number of new songs created by Singapore composers. They include Home by Dick Lee (1998), Together by Ken Lim (1999), Shine On Me by Jim Lim (2000), Where I Belong by Tanya Chua (2001), We Will Get There by Dick Lee (2002) and A Place in My Heart by Kevin Quah (2003). Local celebrities including Stefanie Sun Yanzi and Kit Chan have also performed
for the Sing Singapore collection.
