The National Arts Council works closely with the Ministry of Education and partners such as arts groups and artists to advocate for quality arts education to be an integral and integrated part of all schools.

We believe that arts education plays a vital role in the social, emotional, and cognitive development of our children. Engagement with the arts provides opportunities for deep learning which caters to different student needs, interests, strengths, talents and aspirations. Arts creation and appreciation can help students to develop their imagination, thinking and communication skills, confidence and a spirit of adventure. Learning in and through the arts fosters engagement and enjoyment as well as helps students to build connections with community and culture

Our vision is for students to be empowered by the arts to become confident, articulate and creative adults who will contribute as active citizens to the community.
